Van Damme versus Bloodsport

August 8, 2010

Here's a quick ditty
About Van Damme's
First big famous role:
Bloodsport.

Once upon a time,
There wasn't much plot.
It was a decent story,
And filled its niche slot.

The director fancied
Slo-mo shots
Of our hero,
In primal scream.

The foe was a beefy
Asian-Cambodian?
The average joe chum
Was a 6-pack-o-beer dude.

Dux kicked lots of ass,
In a tournament known for class;
As per expectancy:
Cue naked ass.

Just to add to familiarity,
We see our hero
Do the splits.
Does that make anyone else wince?

The end, as expected:
Triumph for our Frank Dux!
It wouldn't be a Van Damme flick
If the hero didn't succeed.

Apparently this was
Based off the life of some real guy.
As per Van Damme-age,
I wonder if Dux was French.
